Poster Session

The poster session is held in the Grand Ballroom of the Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland.

Faculty, Staff, and Students (graduate & undergraduate) of the University of Maryland are invited to submit posters to the poster session for Bioscience Day.

The thematic areas for the posters are being revised. Last year's areas were the following:

  • Agriculture, Food, and Nutritional Sciences
  • Biochemistry/Biophysics
  • Biodiversity and Environmental Sciences
  • Bioengineering
  • Chemical Sciences
  • Family, Community and Public Health
  • Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, and Proteomics
  • Materials and Nanotechnology
  • Microbiology and Immunology
  • Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology
  • Neuroscience

    PRIZES!! will be awarded for the best student poster submissions.

Poster Registration will begin in September.

Guidelines for registered posters:
Posters can be no larger than 4' x 4'. A regular size is about 3' x 4'.
Posters should be placed in the Grand Ballroom between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 11.
Presentation walls, tacks, and velcro will be available for your poster.
Judges may ask questions during the poster session time, which is 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. on November 12.
